That’s how we continue to achieve extraordinary things in extraordinary locations.Job description:General Role Purpose (brief description of this job)This is a position for an integral member of the canteen team who will be expected to service of food and beverage items in adherence to company food standards for presentation, sanitation and safety (meeting HACCP and OSHA guidelines) and portion control.Qualifications (required for job) & Knowledge & ExperienceHigh school diploma requiredCertificate in Food Preparation.Valid food handlers certificate /Health cardCommunication and interpersonal skills.Organizational skills and attention to detail.Time management skills with a proven ability to meet deadlines.Ability to function well in a high-paced and at times stressful environment.Using logic and reasoning to identify the strengths and weaknesses of alternative solutions, conclusions, or approaches.Hand-Eye Coordination: requires great knife skills. A steady hand will help you greatly.Core Specific Responsibilities & Expected Deliverables Stock canteen areas prior to service.Sets up food service, salad area facilities, equipment and utensils, under detailed instruction and, in accordance with specific area needs.Serves food items to residents and visitors from counters and/or steam tables, in accordance with specific instructions, ensuring that appropriate portions are served, and adds relishes and garnishes according to instructions.Replenishes foods, disposal containers, utensils at serving stations; may order and replenish condiments.Attends to day-to-day problems and needs concerning equipment and food supplies; detects and ensures disposition of spoiled or unattractive food, defective supplies/equipment, and/or other unusual conditions.Participates in the preparation and service of food and beverage items in adherence to company food standards for presentation, sanitation, and safety (meeting HACCP and OSHA guidelines) and portion control.Cleans work area and equipment used in food preparation and service.Follows all safety and sanitation procedures.Delivers food items to and from main kitchen.Clean table tops, chairs and condiment containers.Clean dining room stations and equipment.Serve food according to HACCP protocols and at a pace that allows for the smooth flow of the line.Assist and/or carry out logistical activities, such as transportation and/or driving of vehicles, personnel, materials, equipment and supplies to and from work areas, camps and other company facilities, as required by the supervisor.Personal hygiene and wearing full uniform as required.Perform other related duties as required.Behavioural Traits / Personal CharacteristicsBolder: Flexible, versatile, and prepared to take on challenges as needed.Smarter: always looks for efficiencies and better ways of doing thingsDriven: Sets high standards, is motivated and determined.Together: communicates well with peers and understand others views.Operational RequirementsCobre Panama is a remote site. This exciting position is based on-site and will be focusing on driving and delivering operational accountability and ownership across various units at Cobre Panama site.
