Chief Operating Officer (COO) Fast Food Chain Job Title: Chief Operating Officer (COO) Location: Panama, Rep. of Panama   We seek an experienced and highly motivated Chief Operating Officer to oversee the operations of restaurant portfolio based in Panama. The ideal candidate will ensure the efficient and profitable operations of all restaurants, while promoting a culture of excellence and innovation.   The candidate will be responsible for developing and implementing a strategic operational plan to ensure the long-term success and profitability of the portfolio, with a strong emphasis on training and development. The candidate also brings extensive operator experience from the restaurant industry or adjacent industries (food services or hospitality-related businesses) with multiple units and brands under management. The position reports to the CEO and Board of Directors.     What you will do: Partner with the CEO to develop an annual business plan and forecast operational and staffing needs. Oversee the daily operations of the portfolio, ensuring that all restaurants meet or exceed performance goals. Develop and implement operational strategies that support the growth and profitability of the portfolio. Assess performance against defined benchmarks, operating plans, and standards to identify and address variances and operational challenges and implement improvement plans. Develop, review, and report all key business performance indicators to ensure proper direction and success. Ensure that all restaurants are compliant with local regulations, including health and safety, food quality, and labor laws. Develop and maintain operational systems and processes, ensuring that they are efficient and effective. Collaborate with leaders across the company to develop and execute strategies that support the portfolio. Maintain close relationships with suppliers, ensuring that the portfolio has access to the best products and services at the most competitive prices. Partner with district managers to attract, develop, and retain high-performing talent and strengthen the “talent bench” for future growth. Institute training programs to continually develop and recognize leadership at the store level. Lead the training and development of restaurant staff, promoting a culture of efficiency and excellence.   What you will bring to the role: BA/BS degree in business, hospitality, or a related field, with an advanced degree preferred. 10+ years of experience in a senior operational role, desirably in a restaurant or hospitality business Strong understanding of restaurant operations, with the ability to develop and implement operational strategies. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with stakeholders and partners. Strong leadership skills, with the ability to motivate and lead a team of professionals. Ability to work independently, taking initiative and demonstrating a high level of accountability. Fluency in English and Spanish, with the ability to effectively communicate with stakeholders in both languages.
